This year I had my birthday in Baku, Azerbaijan. Some of my old friends came but none from School in Moscow. My roller blades were the big hit but there isn't anywhere good to ride them in Baku. I will have to wait until Moscow.

Detski Sad is the Russian equilvelant of preshcool. Actually not quite the same cos in Russia it is more of a child minding service then a spring board for school. With school starting at 7yo (min 6y5m) kids stay here and lol around just keeping out of thier parents way.

Moscow, what a great place! Winter is pretty harsh if you grew up in Australia but not so harsh that you can't get out and about. Everything white looks kinda cool too. Just make sure you have warn gear on.

I've just moved offices and now I have one of the most amazing walks to work. Down a quaint street, through a quiet park, past a cathedral, past the Kremlin and accross the Moscow river. Not many walks to work that you can do every day and enjoy it every time like that!!!

Quite often we visited orphanages to drop off some gear for the kids. One orphanage in particular that is quite sad is this one where the kids are terminally ill.

Richard being born in Suriname led us on a trail of legal fun and games to get his Russian citizenship sorted out. One of the steps was a barrage of medical tests in Baku. Check it out!

Arriving in Tallinn for a 'visa run' on the o/n train from Moscow I had no plans to take so many photos but as it happens Tallinn is a very photogenic city. Only spent a few hours and then back to Moscow on the next o/n train.

250m2. Best of them all. Great views, great master and bath, compactish dining and lounge.

180m2, 300k. Niceish but sterile looking. Small pool on the roof. Will need a lot of work to make it nice. But it is a 2 level penthouse which is kinda cool. Very close to a brand new business center which means rent will be good later.
